Technical Implementation

The Technical Implementation of REACH within the metals industry requires in-depth guidance on the various steps that need to be fulfilled. According to the REACH time schedule, industry needs to prepare for pre-registration (June - December 2008), registration (between end of 2010 and 2018, depending on the substance tonnage and classification & labelling of the relevant substance), and evaluation & authorization (not expected before 2012).

 

The Section "Technical Implementation" provides industry with the relevant guidance documents and information for fulfilling its obligations. According to the REACH requirements, the section is divided into four Chapters:

 

- Pre-registration,

 

- Registration, and

 

 - Authorization.
